• Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorders in women. Most women with PCOS grow many small cysts in their ovaries. The cysts are not harmful but lead to hormone imbalances. PCOS is complex, and has an uncertain etiology, many studies say that it can be a genetic disorder.

  Polycystic ovary is a condition which causes problems with menstrual cycle and makes it difficult to getpregnant. If not treated, PCOS over time may lead to serious health problems, such as diabetes, heart and even changes in the personality.

  PCOS produces symptoms in approximately 5% - 10% of women of reproductive age (12 - 45 years old). It is thought to be one of the leading causes of female subfertility and the most frequent endocrine problem in women of reproductive age.
